May 18th Tryout at Sportime in Bethpage, NY

• If the facility parking lot is full, these is available street parking on Stewart Avenue or Hicksville Road
• SUNRAE Cafe is planning to be open, serving coffee, acai bowls, smoothies, pretzels, hot dogs and other snacks. 

May 19th Tryout at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ

• Starbucks on site should be open
• Park behind the Student Center Gym

 Note: Registrations will close the Thursday before each tryout date; no walk up registrations will be available.  This program is for full GEVA members only.  You may not be a member of another region and tryout for our program.

These tryouts determine who gets selected to attend the GEVA Selection Camp. This selection camp is a tryout to be selected for the travel GEVA teams.  The teams then attend our Training Camp and then travel to the USA All-Star Championships.

Our goal is to field teams in the U17 and U19 divisions this year for competition.  We will be hosting a college showcase during camp for those that make it to that part of the selection process.

The sole Sanctioned USA Volleyball Indoor Regional Team Development Program in the GEVA Region.  The Program allows our region to train and compete under the USA Volleyball National Team Development Program umbrella. We duplicate the programs, training, and concepts athletes from across the nation can receive if they make a USA Volleyball National Program camp or team.

The Mission of the Garden Empire Volleyball Association (GEVA) Regional Team Development Program is to provide additional and unique development opportunities for the Region’s Elite Junior Volleyball Athletes as well as to the Region’s Elite and Aspiring Volleyball Coaches. We operate in full compliance with the USA Volleyball National Team Athlete Development Philosophy.

Coaches are selected through an open application process. Athletes are selected through a multi-tiered competitive selection process in compliance with USA Volleyball National Team Development Standards. There are NO restrictions on the number of Coaches or Athletes allowed participating from any given Team, Club, School or other Organization. The Program has NO Team, Club, Organizational Alliances or Affiliations other than the Garden Empire Volleyball Association (GEVA) and Championships.
