Attention Junior Club Directors!!!

To activate/register your club in USA Volleyball's WebPoint system, for the season, you must send an email to the GEVA Registrar, Stefanie Carrington, with the following information:

• Club Name
• Club Address
• Club Director Name and Contact Information, including email address and cell phone number

Please note that you will also need to register as a club director in the WebPoint system (See Registration Section). Once your club is activated, it will show up as a club selection during the individual registration process for your players, coaches, and chaperones.

After your club has been activated in WebPoint, then email Joel Stanford a Word or PDF file of your tryout schedule.  The document that you send will be posted as a pdf at http://geva.org/juniors/club-tryouts. Posting of the PDF in the tryouts section is your sanction to conduct tryouts.

Our tournament system calculates rankings based on wins and losses, and the strength of the opponents played. Just like a real human would be better with more results, the mathematical formula used to calculate the rankings is more accurate with more results. Please note that the results are only valid after a team has played in at least two tournaments. For Juniors, all results between GEVA teams in USAV sanctioned competition are counted, including matches at events held outside of GEVA. Match results with non-region teams that will be entering multiple GEVA tournaments will also be counted.

Set everyone to a starting RANK of 100.
  Do {
     For each team
        Average this value for each set played:
            opponent's ranking from last cycle +/- a win value of 25
            (win value is 35 for a playoff match)
  } Until all values change by less than 0.01  for a cycle
