IMPACT

GEVA Education continues to present opportunities for IMPACT Certification and Renewal for the season.

The following is a guide to hosting IMPACT classes, participating in IMPACT classes, and obtaining IMPACT renewal certification.

IMPACT certification is mandatory for all coaches, assistant coaches, and clinicians, who are in direct contact with GEVA junior members at GEVA sanctioned events.  This includes, but is not limited to, clinics, tryouts, practices, and contests.

IMPACT certification is valid in GEVA for three seasons. This includes the season in which it is taken.  For this purpose the GEVA season is defined as September 1 of any year until October 31 of the following year.  

This GEVA requirement is fully intended to foster continuing education for our coaches. 

IMPACT certification is obtained and is recognized in one of three ways.
1.    Complete a GEVA sanctioned IMPACT training class
2.    Complete a recognized, IMPACT class from another USAV region with a USAV approved instructor, and proof of certification.
3.    Attend an online USAV hosted IMPACT webinar.  

There are no substitutions for IMPACT training.  State coaching licensing, other organization licensing, countless years of experience do not count.

This is a USAV requirement and is not waived.

Candidates for USAV Cap I certification who have completed the course work and the required, approved foundations course, are considered IMPACT certified by USAV.  Completion of the foundations courses alone does not qualify.
