Junior Boys: J.O. Boys Championships
USA Junior
Olympic Boys Volleyball Championships
The
2007 USA Junior Olympic Boys Volleyball Championships will be held in Atlanta,
GA from July 4 – July 11. The age classification and play dates for the Boys
JO's are as follows:
18 Open &
Club (July 4 – July 7)
17 Open &
Club (July 8 – July 11)
16 Open &
Club (July 8 – July 11)
15 Open &
Club (July 4 – July 7)
14 Open &
Club (July 8 – July 11)
13 Club (July
4 – July 7)
12 Club (July
8 – July 10).
Entry
Procedure for all Boy's Tournaments:
a. Download and
print out the Pre-tournament Manual from the USAV web (http://www.usavolleyball.org/Juniors/07_bjo.asp)
site for the instructions and entry requirements.
b. All people
listed on your roster must be registered including those non-playing people
(coaches & chaperones). As a
reminder all of the adults must also be background screened to participate.
c. Individuals
listed as coaches on the roster must have been ‘Impact’ trained as a minimum.
d. Enter your
team's roster including players and staff online following the directions on
the USAV web site and in the manual.
After filling out the registration form, print out a copy for your
information.
e. Complete an Entry Form for each team registered.
f.
Mail the Entry Forms along with the applicable
National entry Fee (separate checks for each team) to the GEVA office
postmarked no later than May 26th.
The receipt of this form in the GEVA office will alert the Region to
your desire to attend a Championship.
g. If required,
GEVA will award entry bids (Club) based upon a team’s finish in the Boy’s
Regional Championships (only if required by USAV).
h.
GEVA will not be awarding any Open bids this year as they
will all be awarded via the bid tournaments as listed in the pre-tournament
manual.
Entry Fee Reimbursement:
This year GEVA will reimburse part
of the entry fee for those winning teams attending the Boy's and Girl's
National Championships (not the Girl's Invitational). A schedule of reimbursement will be published at a later
date. In order to qualify for this
reimbursement the team needs to submit an article for the newsletter of 300
words or more. The article must be
electronically submitted to the GEVA Commissioner by September 1, 2007.
