Greetings Club Directors!

I hope you're as excited about the start of the upcoming season as I am! Many boys teams are already forming and getting ready for their first tournaments, and girl's tryouts will be starting up in just a couple of weeks for many clubs.

With the start of the season in mind, I wanted to reach out and remind everyone about a few important items:

1. All clubs were deactivated in      the USA Volleyball registration system, on September 1st. If you havent'      done so already, you need to send an email to our registrar, Stefanie      Carrington, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.      to reactivate your club in the system.  Please include the name of      your club, the club director for this season, and all relevant contact      information.
2. Sanctioned tryout notices      have been posted at: http://geva.org/juniors/club-tryouts.      Posting of your tryout information on the website is the sanction needed      to be convered as a GEVA event.  Please send your formatted document      with complete club/tryout information to me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 3. All GEVA sanctioned junior      tournaments will be on Advanced Event Systems. Boys' tournaments are      already being placed on AES and girls' events will be online in November.
4. Clubs did a great job last      year in stepping up and running tournaments in the region! The selection      of tournaments was probably the best GEVA has ever seen and just about      every tournament that went on the schedule at the start of the season was      filled. If your club would like to host a girl's event this season,      please complete the Tournament      Sanction Request on the website. All sanction requests received by      November 1st will receive equal consideration as tournaments will be      distributed as evenly as possible across the various regions of GEVA. All      events that are approved and submitted by 11/1, plus the GEVA hosted      events, will be on Advanced Event Systems, no later than November 15th,      with tournament registration open on December 1st (note that registration      for the New Year's Classic will open before then due to the early date of      the event). After the initial group of events, additional tournaments will      be considered as they are requested. Note that we generally try not to      sanction directly competing events in the same geographic locale.
