In 2011, volleyball made a difference. Volleyball players, coaches and fans committed themselves to funding the Side-Out Protocol and I-SPY 2 in addition to support services for patients with breast cancer (The Secret Sisters Society of South Bend, Saint Michael's Foundation and Gina's Friends Fund, to name just a few organizations). Club and school teams nationwide raised nearly $1.4 million.

After hearing from many of you about difficulties encountered in filling out your teams tournament schedules, I went through the entire GEVA junior girls schedule and made a list of events that have additional openings for teams.

GEVA to Allow Libero Serve for Juniors

Along with the new rule allowing a team to use 2 Liberos, GEVA will allow Libero's to serve for all GEVA sanctioned juniors competition. For details on implementation of the new rule, please see this document.

GEVA Earns Two Bids for the 2012 USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships

Great news for the girls - the growth in GEVA girls junior registrations has entitled GEVA to two bids in each age group from 14 to 18, for the 2012 Junior National Championships. GEVA will receive 1 bid into the National division and 1 bid into the American division.
