The following will act as the Executive Council of the Region. This Council shall have and exercise control of the business and affairs of the Region except such matters which these By-laws or the laws of the State are reserved to the Board, Region members or both. The Council will be headed by the Commissioner and consist of the following members:

• The Commissioner, who will be the Chief Executive of GEVA, shall be elected by a majority vote of the elected Board members.
• The Official's Chairperson, who will be appointed by the Commissioner, subject to approval by majority vote of the elected Board members.
• The Adult Competition Director, who will be appointed by the Commissioner, subject to approval by majority vote of the elected Adult Competition Committee members.
• The Junior Competition Director, who will be appointed by the Commissioner, subject to approval by majority vote of the elected Junior Competition Committee members.
