HEAD COACH, GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Radiant Suns Volleyball invites applications for a part time Head Girl's Volleyball Coach for 13-to-18 year old elite athletes beginning Fall 2012. Reporting to the Program Director, the Head Coach is responsible for coaching, supervising and overseeing all activities of the athletes on their club team while communicating and integrating the mission and the philosophy of Radiant Suns, Inc. into the program.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to, directing, supervising, and evaluating assistant coaches and athletes, working with program directors to maintain accurate records, surveying opponents when applicable, supplying the administrative coordinator with team and individual student athlete information, preparing and coaching youth girls to compete at the national level, overseeing the preparation, distribution, and collection of equipment inventory for the program, developing and executing the team philosophy, representing the organization at tournaments, and participating in various community service functions sponsored by Radiant Suns. Inc.

Minimum Qualifications: Must have ability to coach and/or demonstrate a range of skills, strategic knowledge of volleyball is a plus. Will provide training and certification.

Preferred Qualificatons: Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, plus three to four years of effective coaching experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license.

ASSISTANT COACH, GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Radiant Suns Volleyball is currently hiring the position of Assistant Coach for our youth program. The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting Head Coach with instructional responsibilities, practice planning, skills development, skill refinement, and on-court as well as off-court (tournament) supervision of our youth players including tryout selection.

Radiant Suns seeks highly motivated individuals looking to further their growth and knowledge of the sport of volleyball and strength and conditioning. Radiant Suns will provide CPR/AED training, coaching certification, as well as a criminal background check.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, minimum of two years volleyball playing experience at the varsity level, ability to communicate clearly and willingness to learn.

Preferred Requirements: At least 60 college credits towards a major in physical education, kinesiology, or exercise science, collegiate playing experience (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, or Club), and ability to communicate clearly and willingness to learn.

Salary will commensurate with experience.
