The 2007 Adult GEVA Regionals will be held the weekend of April 21-22, 2007. The schedule of play will be:

 

            April 21, 2007

                        Women's A/AA @ Downstate Athletic Center

                        Men’s       A/AA @ Downstate Athletic Center

                        Women’s  B @ Kean University

            April 22, 2007

                        Women’s   BB @ Downstate Athletic Center

                        Men’s                    BB @ Hunter College

                        Men's        B @ Kean University

 

GEVA will be enforcing the rule requiring a team to have two certified Scorekeepers on its roster in order to play in Regionals.  If a team does not have two Scorekeepers they will not be allowed to play.

 

In the unlikely event that it is necessary to limit the number of teams due court availability, GEVA will use the team point standings as a tiebreaker up to  the entry deadline.  After the deadline it will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.  If there are an overwhelming number of wait listed teams, GEVA may utilize a playin tournament to allocate playing slots.

 

Seeding for Regionals will be based upon all tournaments a team has played through April 7.

 

Team Eligibility -

              1. A team must have played in FOUR tournaments at its registered level up to and including tournaments of April 8, 2007.

              2. Club teams cannot borrow players for Regionals.

              3. Rosters will be frozen as of March 27, 2007, meaning transfers are not allowed after March 6, 2007.

              4. The tournaments of April 15/16, 2007 will NOT count in the seedings.

                5. Teams that were moved up or down will need to play at least one tournament at their new level and meet the four tournament criteria as a result of total play during the season. 

 

Player Eligibility

1. A player must have registered and played in at least THREE tournaments at the team's registered level up to and including tournaments of April 16, 2007

         

Entry Procedure:  You need to download and return a team roster/entry form signed by the team representative along with a check for $155.00 as your entry into the Regionals.

Check the rosters carefully to insure that all of your players are listed and that there are no players listed in error.  If you feel that there is an error in the roster please fax the changes to the GEVA Office at 800-338-4382 by Monday March 27.  No changes or additions to the roster will be allowed after March 27 (which means that player movement requests must have been into the office by March 6).  There will be no “borrowing of players” from fellow club teams at Regionals.  If a player is to play at Regionals with you then he or she must be on your roster.  Rosters will be frozen as of March 27.

 

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED BY MARCH 22, 2007

Next Season:  Two teams from each BB division will be moved up for next season.  Those two teams will be the winner of Regionals and the top seeded team at the end of the season.
